Javad is an Iranian visual artist based in Barcelona, holding a Master’s degree in Photography and Design from ELISAVA. Specialising in analogue and alternative photographic processes, his work explores the materiality of memory and image-making. Rooted in research and experimentation, his practice combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary visual narratives.

Alongside his role as Visual Design & E-commerce Manager at Beamalevich, he continues to learn and experiment in his studio, La Lumière Atelier, particularly in the fields of analogue photography, historical photographic processes, and alternative printing techniques.

His passion goes beyond photography. He spent two years teaching Art and Photography full-time to students from disadvantaged rural areas and one of the top high schools in his hometown. Beyond the joy and fulfilment of fostering creativity and education, his students achieved remarkable success by creating original and distinctive artworks.

These two years became some of the most transformative of his life, a period during which he learned far more than he taught. His outlook on life underwent a profound evolution, and the experience left a lasting impression on both his character and creative vision.

In addition to his work as a photographer and artist, he is also passionate about modelling, a field that supports his dedication to a healthy and active lifestyle.
